HOW FORENSICS WORKS

THE ENGINE — HOW A PICK IS MADE
Every market day the platform runs the same pipeline. Three stages turn the whole market into a short, evidence-backed shortlist — so you never start from a blank screen. Think of it as an assistant that does the searching, then hands you the evidence to judge for yourself.
Stage 01 — Before the bell
GLOBAL MARKETS
The weather report. The system reads the health of the broad market — S&P 500, Nasdaq, Dow — before anything else. Even a strong stock swims against the current on a deep-red day.
Stage 02 — The scanner
FIREFLY
The hunter. FireFly scans thousands of stocks for unusual volume, momentum, and price behavior — the clues that "something is happening" — and narrows the field to a handful of candidates.
Stage 03 — The intelligence
NORTHSTAR
The analyst. NORTHSTAR takes each candidate and builds an evidence card — a read on the setup, a confidence score, and defined levels — so you can decide with the work already laid out.
Evidence, not opinion. The pipeline starts from raw market data and lets the read emerge from it — the opposite of a personality picking a favorite and arguing for it after the fact. That's the whole thesis behind Why Forensics.

TICKER
The stock's symbol. PDYN = Palladyne AI Corp. — what you'd type into a brokerage to find it.
VERDICT
LONG-BIASED the evidence leans bullish. WATCH interesting, but not confirmed — keep an eye on it. This is the system's read of the evidence — analysis, never an instruction to trade.
CONFIDENCE
How cleanly the evidence lines up, 0–100%. Higher = a stronger case. It is a measure of evidence alignment, not a probability of profit. The platform only surfaces cards above a minimum threshold.
ENTRY ZONE
The price band the setup is being read from — the reference the analysis is built around, not a directive to buy.
T1 LEVEL
The first level the evidence projects toward. A reference the analysis produced — not a promise the stock reaches it.
RISK LEVEL
CRITICAL The level that would invalidate the read. The system defines risk up front — where the idea is simply wrong. What you do about it is your call, but managing risk is the discipline the whole method is built on.
INFERENCE
The "why." The evidence chain the system flagged — volume, momentum, filings, regime context. Your due-diligence starting point, not a conclusion to accept on faith.
The card hands you evidence and a read — never an instruction. It shows the work so you can judge it. The final decision is always yours. That's by design, and it's how the method builds a skill you keep.
